Your complimentary pre-wedding photography session offer
I would be delighted to invite you to a complimentary pre-wedding photography session.
If you have your wedding date confirmed but have yet to choose your wedding photographer, this is an opportunity for us to meet. We will spend an hour or so together in the heart of Oxford, take some relaxed photographs, discuss your wedding and your photographic aspirations. You can ask me anything you would like to know, experience the way I work and, most importantly, see whether I am the right photographer for you.
There is absolutely no obligation or pressure to book me. The photographs we create will be yours, with my compliments.
Is this invitation for you?
This complimentary session is intended for couples who have confirmed their wedding date and are still choosing their wedding photographer.
If you have already chosen and booked your wedding photographer, or if I am booked to photograph a wedding on your date, I am sadly unable to extend this offer to you.
When and where
Sessions will take place in Oxford on selected Fridays and Saturdays up to and including Saturday 12 December 2026, subject to my availability.
If you would like to accept your invitation, please send me four or five Fridays or Saturdays within that period that could work for you, together with whether you are available in the morning, afternoon or at any time.
Please send your request by 31 October 2026. I will then check my diary and contact you personally to arrange a suitable date and time.
What to expect
We will take a relaxed walk through some of Oxford's quieter streets and green spaces, stopping along the way whenever we find somewhere that feels right for a photograph.
There is nothing formal and nothing you need to prepare. Wear what feels comfortable. I will offer a little direction when it helps, but mostly we will just walk and talk whilst creating some natural photographs together.
Afterwards, I will personally select and hand-edit a collection of up to six photographs and send them to you digitally.
Your photographs will be delivered in plenty of time for Christmas. Couples find many lovely uses for these images. They make very personal gifts for family and friends. They work beautifully in save-the-date cards, wedding invitations and in an order of service. They can also become part of the wedding day itself in signing boards, slideshows, table displays and other details.
Whether or not you ultimately choose me, I hope our time together will have given you fond memories of being photographed together. You will have had the chance to ask the questions that matter to you about wedding photography, perhaps understand more clearly what you are looking for in a photographer, and have a lovely collection of moments from the time we all spent together.
The session itself will naturally be a little more directed than the photography on your wedding day. I capture the overwhelming number of images on a wedding day naturally and unobtrusively, as the story unfolds. Think of this session instead as a relaxed opportunity to experience being photographed together, to see how I work when a little direction is needed, and to ask me absolutely anything you’d like to know about wedding photography. If you choose to have some bridal portraiture together on your wedding day, you’ll already know exactly what to expect from me.
If you later choose me to photograph your wedding, this complimentary session will become the pre-wedding shoot included within your wedding photography package, so a second pre-wedding shoot would not normally be necessary.
Your photographs – your privacy
These images will belong to your story. I will never assume that I may use them on my website, on social media or for any promotional purposes.
If I would like to share one of your images, I will ask you first. The choice will always be yours.
