With you for every step of your journey

Wedding photography begins long before the wedding day.

I like to meet every couple for a relaxed pre-wedding photography session. It gives us time to get to know one another, for you to become comfortable with me and the camera, and for me to understand the wedding you're planning.

Where practical, I will also attend your rehearsal. By the time your wedding arrives, I don't want to feel like a stranger turning up with a camera. I want to understand your plans, the people who matter to you and how the day is going to unfold.

That preparation means that on the day, you can simply enjoy it.

“Thank you for being so organised, professional and friendly.”

Calm, prepared and unobtrusive

On your wedding day, I am with you for up to 10 hours.

I'll organise things when organisation is needed and offer direction when it helps. But for much of the day, I simply watch.

Experience means recognising when something needs my involvement and when the best thing I can do is quietly get out of the way.

You shouldn't have to spend your wedding thinking about your photographer. You should be spending it with the people you invited to share it with you.

“You were brilliant and fun, and didn’t make the photos a chore.”

The moments you saw. And the ones you didn’t.

A wedding is full of things happening in different places at the same time.

While you're greeting one guest, somebody else is laughing across the room. A parent is watching quietly. Children are doing something completely unplanned. Conversations, expressions and tiny moments are unfolding everywhere.

My job is to notice them.

Of course I will photograph the preparations, the ceremony, the portraits, the family groups and the speeches. But I am also watching for everything happening around them.

The details you chose. The people you love. The expressions that last only a second.

Because sometimes the photographs you never knew were being taken become the ones that mean the most.

“The photos we have are just perfect in every way. There isn’t a moment you haven’t captured.”
